JESUS PAID THE PRICE FOR OUR REDEMPTION

We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitute. He chose to shed His blood on the cross as the perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins, dying and being buried before rising victorious from the grave on the third day. He did this in fulfillment of the covenant promises made by God to Abraham that God Himself would provide the payment necessary to redeem mankind from the corruption of sin. Jesus’ death and resurrection are the only ground for spiritual salvation for anyone who would, by grace, believe in his life, death, and resurrection as our Lord. We understand that faith in Christ is the only means to be saved; nothing we can do or think could ever earn our salvation. Those who believe are justified and redeemed, born again of the Holy Spirit and called children of God. We believe that followers of Jesus Christ have been sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption. Salvation is eternal in its very definition and thus cannot end. The believer is kept by the power of God through faith.  (John 8:31-32; Col. 1:21; John 3:16; 10:28-29; 16:8; 1 John 2:19; Rom. 8:35-39; Phil. 1:6)
