We believe that Satan, the devil, was once holy, and enjoyed heavenly honors but through pride and desire to be almighty, fell and drew after him a host of angels. He is now the prince and power of the air, and the unholy god of this world. We know him to be man’s great tempter, the enemy of God, and the accuser of the saints. We teach that believers should “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 Yet, we don’t give him more power than he has by living in fear or being distracted from our purpose by his works. We believe that his end of power is coming soon, and he will be condemned to eternal damnation by our Lord, Jesus Christ.
