THE CHURCH AND CHRISTIAN LIFE

The church is God’s redeemed community of forgiven sinners, a reconciled people who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, who are redeemed through His blood, and are filled and born again by the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Body, the church, which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, to preach the gospel to all nations. It is the will of God that all believers walk in the fullness of the Holy Spirit, be wholly devoted to God, and are connected to his redeemed community.

The dual purpose of the Christian life is the glory of God and joy of humanity: to glorify God by enjoying him forever. The believer’s life can only be lived by the sanctifying power of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. All who trust in Christ must & will persevere faithfully by the power of the Holy Spirit until the end of their lives or the return of the Lord. The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together in worship of God, who seek to love, pray, serve, and edify one another through the Word of God and the obedience of faith to the commands of Christ. We believe that Christian life should be conducted by obedience, faith, maturity in Christ, community, the proclamation of the gospel who join together to proclaim all of Christ in all of life for all the world.
